Deanna Hodges, Founder and Executive Producer

Fashion Designer and entrepreneur Deanna Hodges has become the essence of L.A. and Orange County fashion and an industry leader in town. Her Hodges Collection and Etoix lines are growing at an astounding pace and gaining a following among top high end boutiques across the US, Europe and Japan, the fashion scene in Los Angeles, New York, Miami and Japan as well as many celebrities. Hodges’ designs are a regular fixture among the top charity fashion shows in Los Angeles, raising money for such causes as RAINN (Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network), IFERS (Institute for Education, Research, and Scholarships), and Haiti Relief among many others.

Hodges’ eclectic charm and comfortable sensibility help make her designs the epitome of modernCalifornia style. Hodges’ stylishly feminine collections have been featured at L.A.’s Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in addition to numerous magazines, trades, blogs and other forums. Her collections feature fine fabrics, attention to detail, styling and design that allows the wearer’s personality to shine through. She also makes it her mission to manufacture all of her designs in the United States. It is her goal to create more domestic jobs every year.

Hodges has worked in fashion for over 23 years. She worked in various capacities with many top manufacturers before striking out on her own in 2000. Hodges wanted to make comfortable and stylish clothes that made women feel feminine and beautiful.

Hodges also uses the recognition of her brands to draw attention to causes that are close to her heart, supporting such organizations as the National Kidney Foundation, Girls Inc., Casa Teresa, Kiva, and the Malibu Surf Association for Heal the Bay among others.

In addition to her fashion lines, Hodges is also the founder of Orange County Fashion Trade Association, a 501c3 organization, Orange County Fashion Showcase, Global Fashion Network and the Fashion Insiders group.


Todd Herschberg, Director of Marketing & Operations

Todd Herschberg is a seasoned entrepreneur who has served as founder, marketer and technologist for a number of start-up fashion, retail and tech firms. Mr. Herschberg is one of the world’s 50 most connected individuals on LinkedIn and a frequent speaker on social media topics. In 2010, FastCompany Magazine ranked him as the 33rd “Most Influential Person Online.”

His background in fashion covers considerable consulting projects as well as having been the Director of SEO for Like.com – a comparison shopping search engine now owned by Google – and the Marketing Director and SEO guru for WildAttire – one of the largest men’s accessories ecommerce sites.

He is additionally the Co-Founder of the Fashion Retailers group – a global network of fashion and retail professionals with more than 45,000 members around the world.

Mr. Herschberg is also the Founder of OCEAN (Orange County Executives And Networkers), a business networking organization with more than 12,000 members who live/work in Orange County, CA.


 Parris Harris, Producer

Where can a passion for fashion lead? It led Parris Harris down the runway and up the steps of the royal house of fashion. And there… he lived happily ever after…

Mr. Harris embodies a love for the entire fashion process . That process includes “everything” and I mean everything. That pretty much describes putting together a Fabulous show from start to finish.

Mr. Harris makes himself available to every aspect of a clients fashion projects and needs. A client will receive 100% attention and dedication. The need to interpret, to be effective, in whatever position mandated be it choreographing and training of the models and dancers, casting, creation of show themes, flyer design and overall general consultation, contacts with agents and managers, researching areas, venues and events and even assist in publist and promoting duties. Mr. Harris works tirelessly to create a working and cohesive environment.

Additionally, with access and experiences in casting events outside of the fashion circle such as commericals, music videos, plays, dance projects, singer show cases, DJs for night club events as well as provide services for fashion shows in LA, NY and Miami . His roster of talent includes tall diva’s as well as your all American fire eater that may be just the thing to put your fashion event over the top. His casting experiences include models as well as dancers, photographers, designers and/or whatever else is needed.


 Patt Morris, Director of Volunteers

 Patt Morris has worked in the Healthcare industry for over 25 years and currently works for St Joseph Heritage Healthcare as a Supervisor for an organization that promotes values of Dignity, Service, Excellence, and Justice. In this capacity she manages employees and oversees the daily operations of the department. Over the years Patt has donated her time and money for various charities and causes like Walk out of Poverty, Stop Hunger Now, and Walk for a Cure, ASPCA, and The Trevor Project.

Patt has volunteered for OCFS since its inception and has risen through the ranks to the position of Director of Volunteers. She received her certificate in Project Management from University of Phoenix in 2008 and currently resides in Huntington Beach, CA.

 


 Michael Seeley, Director of Photography and Media

Michael Seeley was first introduced to photography as an Architectural Design student in Southern California. After a few years of dabbling in the medium in his spare time, Michael focused his attention on a formal education in commercial photography. Assisting gigs followed in LA and Orange Counties, which ultimately led to Michael’s decision to go out on his own as a commercial shooter, where he focused on product, people, and entertainment photography.

Looking to enhance his photographic skill set, Michael earned a BFA degree in Graphic Design and has spent the past several years integrating his passion for photography and graphic design into print, web, and motion graphics.

Leveraging his 20-plus year career as a photographer and designer on both the client-side and ad-side of the business, Michael Seeley is focused on providing his clientele with foward-thinking creative solutions that play to current lifestyle trends in fashion, art, and design.

Married to his long-time muse and partner of 15 years, Michael and Jereé (also a photographer and editor) enjoy their two small dogs, fine foods, friends, family, and the Southern California art scene.

Eric Tanezaki, Director of Legal Affairs

Mr. Tanezaki earned his Bachelor’s of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering (B.S.M.E., 1989) from the University of Southern California.  Thereafter he worked in the defense aerospace industry as an engineer (1989-1993), at the McDonnell Douglas Electronic Systems Co. (prior to being acquired by the Boeing Company).  He attended the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law where he received his Juris Doctorate (J.D., 1996).  Mr. Tanezaki was admitted to the California Bar in 1996, and is admitted to all the U.S. District Courts of California.  In addition, he is registered to practice before U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).  Out of law school, he worked as a ligation associate with the law firm of Sedgwick Detert Moran and Arnold.  Mr. Tanezaki is a principal of Stetina Brunda Garred and Brucker, and has been with the firm since 1997.

 Mr. Tanezaki specializes in intellectual property (IP) prosecution, licensing and litigation.  He has drafted and prosecuted domestic and foreign patent applications in numerous fields, including computers and software, business models, medical devices, aerospace, avionics, optics, gaming, chemical compositions, and mechanical, electro-mechanical and electrical devices.  He has also prosecuted numerous trademark applications throughout the world on behalf of his clients.  Mr. Tanezaki’s practice includes advising and representing clients in many industries ranging from the university setting to high technology to fashion.

Mr. Tanezaki has monthly legal office hours serving as the Intellectual Property Law Mentor for USC Stevens Institute for Innovation since helping to develop the program in 2008. As the Executive Director for the Southern California Venture Network, Mr. Tanezaki strongly supports the entrepreneurial community by assisting startups and emerging growth companies.

 CHERYL BECK , Director of Community Outreach

Cheryl Beck is CEO and founder of Bold Girlz, an apparel brand for girls with a mission to empower girls through fashion and inspire them to give back.  Bold Girlz opened its first concept store in Costa Mesa, CA in 2012.   The concept store features additional merchandize with a philanthropic mission from other like minded women entrepreneurs and has private event space for parties and conducting community service projects.  She graduated with a BA from Bucknell University and an MBA from Drexel University and currently resides in Newport Beach, CA.

 


CASSIE SFEIR, Director of Development 

Reporting to and in partnership with the Executive Director, Deanna Hodges, the Development Director will lead development efforts as the O.C. Fashion Showcase continues to grow.

Cassie Sfeir, owner of Events by Cassie, specializes in assisting non-profit organizations with design and logistical details of organizing and executing fundraising functions. Cassie joined the O.C. Fashion Showcase Fall of 2012 to assist with research and the responsibilities necessary to deliver a series of events designed to fit the needs and goals of the Fashion Trade Association.

Responsibilities:

Assist in the development and execution of annual fundraising plan

Secure financial support from individuals, foundations and corporations

Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with major donors

Creating and executing a strategy for a large sustained base of annual individual donors

Overseeing organization of special events

 


HALIE STEGEMAN, Lead Intern

Ms. Stegeman is a recent California transplant coming from the Midwest. She has always had a great interest in the fashion industry and is currently a student at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising at the Orange County campus.

Ms. Stegeman had the opportunity to work the Orange County Fashion Showcase as a volunteer and knew right there that working the behind the scenes aspect of the shows was her passion. More importantly she was moved to know this organization is about giving back to the community with its philanthropic outreach. 

Energetic and motivated to be a part of a prestigious organization, Ms. Stegeman welcomes the opportunities that will be offered during her internship working with Ms. Hodges and her team.
